Immigration Coordinator (Temp)

Work Location: Burbank, CA (Los Angeles Area) 

** Projected to be approx. 2-3 month temporary position. Conversion to FTE is possible for the right candidate** 

Technicolor is looking for a dynamic and experienced person to fill the position of Immigration Coordinator. The incumbent must have good office technology skills, organizational skills and customer service skills to assist the immigration team in a fast-paced and growing business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Technicolor’s immigration team with all administrative aspects of the immigration program. This role will perform system updates with accuracy and ensure all status records are current for Technicolor employees;
  • Update and maintain all applicable candidate records and reports in appropriate systems;
  • Serve as a point-of-contact between Technicolor employees and the Immigration Specialist and counsel. Communicate with and assist, in a professional manner, stakeholders in relation to Technicolor’s immigration program by building rapport and trust with Technicolor’s employees in the immigration process;
  • Follow-up with Technicolor employees to ensure requested documents and information is received and submitted in a timely manner;
  • Monitor document submission deadlines and document expiration dates;
  • Prepare correspondence (emails, letters) and reports;
  • Identify and report workload issues to the Immigration Specialist;
  • Under the supervision of the Immigration Specialist, plan and prioritize casework and facilitate and coordinate communication between the Immigration Specialist, Technicolor employees, and counsel regarding immigration strategy;
  • Take on other duties as assigned;
  • Will report directly to the Immigration Specialist;

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • At least 2 years of experience in a paralegal or administrative field (preferably in an immigration environment);
  • Strong data entry, organizational, and time-management skills with a high attention to detail;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word in particular, PowerPoint an asset);
  • Knowledge of LawLogix a plus;
  • Knowledge of US immigration status documents including, but not limited to, I-94 arrival/departure records, visa stamps, and USCIS approval notices a plus;
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment within strict timelines;
  • Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision;
  • Good aptitude for customer service;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to collaborate as a team and good interpersonal skills;
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening;
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, state and federal laws;
  • Capable of doing daily clerical repetitive tasks;
  • Professionalism and confidentiality are essential
