Position Summary:

Experienced 3 PL Sales/Business Development individual to manage, develop aggressively and grow prospective business in their territory.  Responsibilities include the development of new business, management of the complete sales cycle process including: prospect identification, lead generation, qualification, pricing development, proposal preparation and presentation, and contract signing and renewal.  Must have demonstrated success in achieving multi-million dollar sales and willingness to build territory and qualify opportunities.  Ability to develop customized solutions to meet customer logistical needs is vital. 

Expectations of the position include the following:

  • Must meet or exceed new revenue and revenue retention targets as assigned
  • Meet or exceed performance targets specific to sales performance as assigned
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting on a regular basis
  • Develop and sustain positive new and existing client relationships at all times
  • Apply sound judgment and ethics in regard to expenses and ensure that all policies and guidelines specific to fiscal awareness are adhered to

Qualifications:

  • ​Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or logistics preferred
  • Must have minimum 5 years sales/business development experience in the Logistics, 3PL, freight management, freight carriers or related fields
  • Track record of successful sales (proven top sales in an organization)
  • Self-confident with a strong background as a hunter of new business is essential
  • 3PL Sales and Consultative Experience
  • Experience in Supply Chain Services
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong PC skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and web-based and Windows based software and database
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive
  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills: speaks clearly and persuasively in various situations, responds well to questions.  Writes clearly and informatively, presents numerical data effectively and accurately.
  • Customer service: manages difficult or emotional customer and driver situations and responds promptly to customer needs
  • Ethics: works with integrity and ethics, upholds and adheres to Technicolor’s ethics values and guidelines without exception
  • Planning/organizing: organizes, priorities, and plans work activities effectively, uses time efficiently
  • Problem Solving: identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, works well in group problem solving solutions
  • Negotiation Skills:  Demonstrated ability to negotiate and “broker” deals for maximum profit to company and necessary service to customer
  • Adaptability: manages competing demands, changes approach or method to best fit the situation
  • Ability to travel up to 50% is required
