Job Description:
A Compositor at The Mill will work on many high-profile projects for global advertising agencies. As a result, he or she will have an understanding of how to technically and creatively realize the unique look and feel of a Mill commercial and an understanding and knowledge of the technology bespoke applications, workflow, methodologies and pipeline across our offices and a clear understanding of the high level of creative output required.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include simple conforms through to managing complete jobs involving numerous complex compositions using both 2D and 3D elements.
Compiling clean-ups of shots in addition to advising the production team by offering advice on technology and available processes for projects and with lower budget requirements.
Combining the technical and creative aspects of the role with an innate understanding of the industry and being able to apply those skills to the ever changing needs of the clients, often under extremely demanding deadlines.
Working closely with the fellow compositors to research, develop and implement new technology and creative ideas.
Coordinating information from other departments such as 3D and other office locations (London, LA and NY) to collate and deliver to the relevant senior creatives in a suitable format.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Graphics, Visual Effects or Photography, and three (3) years of experience in a related position.
Work experience or academic coursework must have included: experience using Flame tool to conduct rotoscoping, matte painting, keying and color correcting; experience using Autodesk and Foundry software; experience with the post-production process, including technical specifications, video and data formats, and film, video and shooting techniques for special effects compositing.
