After Effects Artist

We are looking to employ a mid-level After Effects Artist to work within our Award winning Design department.
The artist must have in-depth After Effects knowledge and the ability to devise and create complex animations to an exceptional standard. They must demonstrate a true understanding of the subtleties of 2D graphic animation and a talent for creating the appropriate pace and character for the narrative. The After Effects Artist will be expected to work to tight deadlines while maintaining an exceptional attention to detail.
The Mill covers a broad range of creative output so the After Effects Artist will work in context for broadcast, film media, installations and digital creative simultaneously. He/she will lead meetings with clients and attend shoots to advise upon the most effective solutions for high-end motion graphics.
The After Effects Artist must be able to assess the essential needs of the Creative staff, project specific direction, and multidisciplinary approach to creative output.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Motion Design Artist
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe After Effects, and the Adobe suite with at least a basic knowledge of Cinema 4D
- Window & OSX operating systems
- Highly developed knowledge of the software and hardware used in every aspect of the motion design & post-production process
- A developed knowledge of the Visual Effects and associated pipelines
- The After Effects Artist will regularly invent, imagine and perform work requiring advanced knowledge which is predominantly intellectual in character
- Discretion and independent judgment is often required
