Job Description
The role of Dispatch is designed to ensure swift and accurate distribution of deliverable items and source material to internal, local, national and international destinations.

  • Log all tapes/drives/negative/props in and out of the building
  • Prepare deliveries from completed jobs determining priority levels
  • Send confirmation e-mails to relevant producers informing them of arrivals and departures
  • Contacting clients for collection and return of elements where applicable
  • Liaising with feeder departments such as MCR and Telecine to ensure deliverables are
    dispatched on time, or if not, that any delays are relayed to relevant producers, etc
  • Continually monitor CETA and Outlook to ensure any new bookings or requests are
    responded to immediately
  • To hand deliver items to local and internal destinations
  • Ensure onsite tapes/drives/negative/props are regulated maximizing available library space
  • Scheduling and maintaining shoot kits for Ops leaving and returning from shoots
  • Costing on CETA of all delivery charges
  • Distribution of all internal mail


  • Ability to liaise with clients, confidently empart information and be customer focused
  • Ability to cope with the meticulous and repetitive nature of the role
  • Ability to handle the lifting and loading of dispatch material
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Methodical
  • Ability to handle working within a pressurized environment
  • Must be organized and have high attention for details
  • Enthusiastic/ self starter that enjoys problem/puzzle solving

This is a big and rewarding job that sees me leading a team of 60 creative and administrative people making the world safe for comedy and drama. On a day-to-day basis, my team oversees sound editors, re-recording mixers, Foley artists, schedulers and project managers for about 30 episodic projects at any one time.

I love a lot about my job. I enjoy the creative talent, the clients, the rush of weekly deadlines but most of all I enjoy being in the midst of the creative process. Technicolor is a place where creativity and technology meet. I really enjoy being at the intersection.
